Location, location and location! It is located at the end of a long, winding road, surrounded by dairy farms. Very tranquil indeed! The staff, especially the proprietor, were very courteous and helpful.
The only thing (or a couple) I'd like to mention is the surprising lack of any proper toiletry products in the bathroom. We were given a sachet each for body wash and shampoo, and they were quite awkward to use just for washing hands. There was only tiny mirror in the entire room, and it was located at an awkward height in the bathroom. Also, the breakfast (which was included in the price) could have had more choices, but not complaining too much on that front.

The hotel staff was friendly and helpful. We were pleased with the room. It was clean and spacious though sparsely furnished. The breakfast provided a good assortment in a pleasant dining room. Dinner was also very good and reasonably priced. There are large grounds with cows and goats. The hotel is very close to Brugge.
The room was very warm due to the high temperatures outdoors, but a fan was provided. We were unable to sleep with the window open due to mosquitoes.

Ease and convenience
Having two beds pushed together rather than 1 bed.

Somewhere different.
The hotel accepted our booking, but we felt we were in the way. Lots of decorating being carried out making it difficult to access room. Planks across stairwells etc. Very noisy neighbours, until 3 am. Breakfast limited.

Comfortable large room. Good breakfast and excellent evening meal at a good price.
Would be quite difficult to find without a Sat Nav as is very much in the countryside.

The Location, really dipped in nature, outside a small nice village. In the morning you can see cows quietly eating grass a few meters from your room window. There's a big garden to play with your kids, silence, very good Breakfast too.
For such a lovely place, rooms are maybe too spartan, really basic and "out of style" if compared to the structure and the surroundings. Just a restore in a "country" style or similar, for the rooms, might make this place absolutely perfect.

Set in the countryside.
More like a cross between a hostel and a hotel, than a hotel. Shower was so small when you bent over to pick something up you turned it off with your bottom!!!

Warm welcome to the hotel, great staff and free wifi. Highly recommended if travelling through these parts.

The location is very unique. At the end of a winding, one mile lane, the hotel is surrounded by farm fields, a cow pasture and nearby barns. It is incredibly quiet and serene. My room was on the second floor and had a loft with two additional beds, plenty of room. Good breakfast. No TV was also a plus.
Not much to dislike. I left the window open (no screens) while out one evening, and I had to battle mosquitos most of the night!

The place was quaint and well-kept with a lovely little porch surrounded by a lawn with a restaurant and a very good breakfast. Staff were friendly and helpful. The location is quiet and in the country. It is surrounded by neat cultivated fields and pastures. The surrounding narrow paved roads lined with trees are ideal for a bicycle ride. Bicycles were available for rent to us for 5 euro for a day. This hotel is ideal for a trip to Brugge and nearby beaches with a car. It is less than half an hour by car to the beach near De Haan or to Brugge. Brugge is within bicycle distance. As other reviewers have noted, this hotel is remote enough to require a car, although there are other modes of transportation there. Note that the roads require a good map or navigational device (a small printed map of the route from the freeway, e40, to the hotel is sufficient to get you there). I would love to go back there someday to stay for a week or so to really enjoy the surrounding countryside. There was a convenient closet and bedside tables in my room, dark drapes, towels, a small tv, table and two chairs. There was some nice art work in the room and in the hall way. The bathroom was all white which, at the end of the day at the beach, made my fledgling tan look very nice.
There was no hair drier in the bathroom, but had I known I simply would have brought my own. My room was comfortable and clean, but I was surprised that there was no carpet and that the ceiling was a suspended one. The walls were thin so for me, a light sleeper, earplugs were necessary the first night because our neighbors were door-and-drawer bangers. The second and third nights it was very quiet. Realizing this, we were careful about making lots of noise during sleeping hours.

The location is absolutely amazing, although you definitely need a car to get there. Rooms were pretty clean and look much better than the pictures. Breakfast is really good, I loved it that there were many fruits, but some vegetables would be nice also.
Nothing really, it's a really nice place to relax and enjoy the countryside

We had a great time here, nature, quiet, clean, delicious croissoantes and others on breakfast. We liked very much the local pub. It certainly is a wonderful place to stay on the condition of the car.
Leaking water from the shower.

Free WIFi, first class shower. The buffet breakfast was better than hotels twice the price.
The room is basic with comfortable beds but no tea/coffee making facilities. There was no information in English or French although the staff were fluent. The hotel had 2 groups staying at the time and this hotel is ideally suited for groups. One was elderly and one comprised students. The owners were kind enough to apologise for the noise!

A lovely quiet and peaceful hotel. The staff were very helpful and although we arrived in the evening the cook was very willing to prepare a meal which was very tasty. The buffet breakfast provided an excellent choice and we were delighted with the chocolate Easter bunny on each place mat. A nice seasonal touch as was the chicken with egg candles which welcomed us into the dining room. Our room was very comfortable. Clearly the hotel caters for conferences and groups for which there appeared to be suitable facilities. It was very quiet during our stay. It is possible to hire bicycles and a good way of exploring the surrounding countryside. Our stay was en route to our destination but we would willingly have stayed longer if we could have done.
